Two Point Campus: 6 Best Events In The Game

Various Events in Two Point Campus

There seems to be no limit to simulation games, from caring for adorable pets to causing mayhem as a goat in Goat Simulator. Nonetheless, one of the most popular sub-genres of simulation games is that of business management. Games like Roller Coaster Tycoon and Two Point Hospital let players design and manage their own business, whether an amusement park or hospital.

With the release of Two Point Campus, players can now experience what’s it like to manage a university, from hiring professors to teach the courses to organize events that’ll boost student happiness. Some events offer better rewards than others, so players do well in learning which ones to host.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

6 Cook-Off Events

  • Unlocked After Completing Piazza Lanatra

The Gastronomy Course is one of the first courses unlocked in Two Point Campus, so players won’t have to spend too much of their initial capital unlocking it. Players can take advantage of this opportunity to begin hosting Cook-off, earning them a decent amount of cash and Kudosh in the game’s early stages.

Players can host three different Cook-off events, but the fastest and easiest one is the Campus Cook-Off event. Gamers can start this event as long as the Gastronomy Course is at Level 1 and there are at least three students. Once completed, players will receive $2,000 and 4 Kudosh (one of the simplest methods of earning Kudosh in Two Point Campus).

5 Party Event

  • Unlocked After Completing Piazza Lanatra

Keeping students and staff members happy is critical if players want to earn extra cash and Kudosh at the End of the Year award ceremony. Fortunately, the Party Event is one of the best Events to keep everyone on campus happy, plus get a handy 10% Movement Bonus.

The Beach-a-Palooza Party Event is perhaps the best event to invest in, especially if the campus isn’t doing too well with Happiness. This event costs $25,000 to start and will last 30 days. At the end of the event, the entire campus will receive a 30% Happiness increase and the slight Movement boost mentioned above.

4 Cheeseball Match Event

  • Unlocked After Completing Fluffborough

The Cheeseball Match Event is hands-down the wackiest event in Two Point Campus. Students must wear a mouse-like outfit while trying to score with a cheese-shaped disc. But despite its odd demeanor, the Cheeseball Match Event is among the best events in Two Point Campus.

Players must complete the Fluffborough Campaign with three stars to take full advantage of this event. Then players will have access to three teams (in reality events) that can bring home a Cheeseball Match trophy. Players that use the Jumbo Mega Team will receive $5,000 and 10 Kudosh for each win, making it an excellent way of earning cash fast.

3 Talent Show Event

  • Unlocked After Completing Upper Etching

To host a Talent Show Event, players must purchase a Stage for $18,000, which is unlocked after completing Piazza Lanatra with one star. Players can place the Stage within the Student Union building on their campus.

Once placed, players can host a Talent Show Event for $10,000, but they’ll also need to have at least 3 Musicality Students. At the end of the event, players will receive $5,000 and 10 Kudosh. Players can increase the reward by upgrading the Stage as it’ll allow them to host a bigger Talent Show Event.

2 Live Music Event

  • Unlocked After Completing Piazza Lanatra

Players that want to increase their campus’s Happiness and productivity tenfold will want to host several Live Music Events throughout the academic year. There are a total of eight different Live Music Events that players can host, which can last from 15 days to 30 days depending on the event. Here’s a brief list of them:

  • Ripped Chords
    – 20% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • DJ Sue Chef
    – 30% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Honour Rollers
    – 30% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Helium Baboon
    – 30% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Boogie Knights
    – 40% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Alchemical Friendship
    – 20% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Shoegraze
    – 40% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Open Mic
    – Provides Entertainment

RELATED: Beginner Tips For Two Point Campus

As players will notice, most of the events provide similar buffs, so it all comes down to what the player thinks looks “entertaining.” The biggest issue with this event is that the Stage may break (depending on the event chosen), so players will need to be ready to repair it frequently.

1 Cinema Event

  • Unlocked After Completing Piazza Lanatra

Undoubtedly, the Cinema Event is the best event in Two Point Campus. Players can choose from six different movies (events), each of which offers distinct rewards. Here’s a snippet of each Cinema Event and the bonuses they offer:

  • Funny Film
    – 30% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Romantic Film
    – 20% Happiness Increase

  • Western Film
    – 20% Happiness Increase & Increases Energy

  • Action Film
    – 20% Happiness Increase & 10% Movement Speed

  • Sci-Fi Film
    – 20% Happiness Increase & 10% Learning Rate

  • Horror Film
    – 20% Happiness Increase & Increases Energy

As players can see, each event focuses on increasing a specific factor of a student, so players should pick the ones they need the most. Hosting a Cinema Event varies from $4,000 to $6,000, and they only last 15 days.

Two Point Campus is available now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Hattiesburg public schools implement clear-bag policy for athletic events

Hattiesburg public schools implement clear-bag policy for athletic events

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – High school football starts next week in the Hub City and Hattiesburg public schools are taking steps to make athletic events safer ahead of kickoff.

“It’s a policy that we’re implementing to further our means of safety for our fans,” said Greg Carter, Hattiesburg Public Schools athletic director. “You know, our ultimate goal is to keep our fans safe at all of our athletic events, and we feel like this clear-bag policy is a step in the right direction.”

The start of a new football season means new rules for Hattiesburg Public Schools.

The district is implementing a clear-bag policy at all athletic events.

“It’s the first year that we’ll be implementing it,” Carter said. “It’s been a policy for most colleges for a few years now. So, it’s starting to trickle down into high schools, and with the surge in violent crimes throughout the nation at large events, we feel like we need to do a little something further to keep our fans safe.”

The clear-bag policy goes into effect next Friday, Aug. 27, at Hattiesburg High’s first home varsity football game against Petal High School.

There are a few other different regulations fans need to keep in mind before getting to the stadium.

“It’s a clear-bag policy so the bag has to be clear but the dimensions of it is… the largest is 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches,” Carter said. “Now, you can also bring in a one-gallon size Ziploc-type bag.”

Small clutches also are allowed.

“The small clutch doesn’t have to be clear, but it has to fit the dimensions of 4 1/2 inches by 6 ½ inches,” Carter said.

While it may take a little getting used to, it all comes down to ensuring a safe environment while fans cheer on the tigers.

“We understand that this policy is going to inconvenience some, but we feel like that the safety aspect of it far outweighs the slight inconvenience that it may cause to some,” Carter said. “We do apologize in advance for any inconvenience that it might cause.

Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee still seeking volunteers for events leading up to the big game

Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee still seeking volunteers for events leading up to the big game

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Football is back! And while there’s a whole season of games to play before the Super Bowl next February in Glendale, the host committee is still seeking volunteers to help in various ways leading up to the big event.

Super Bowl LVII is set for Feb. 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale. Even though it’s still months away, the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee has a lot of work ahead. That’s why last month, the committee launched a volunteer program called TEAM AZ, presented by Avnet and PetSmart.

The group’s goal is to get 5,000 volunteers signed up who will serve as ambassadors for events leading up to the Super Bowl. That could include welcoming guests at airports, hotels and other other locations. If you’re interested in volunteering as part of TEAM AZ, click or tap here to apply.

There are a couple of things to note: You have to be at least 18 years old and applying means you’ll go through a formal process including a background check. Volunteering also won’t get you into the actual Super Bowl. TEAM AZ support won’t be needed in the stadium on game day.

Sit down and shut up: Massive three-day board game event coming to Vancouver

Sit down and shut up: Massive three-day board game event coming to Vancouver

Organizers have set it up so solo attendees can find groups to play with and try out new games.

Fans of dice, group activities and little coloured plastic things you move over a piece of cardboard, there’s an event coming up just for you.

Shux 2022 arrives at the end of September; the three-day event is put on by Shut Up and Sit Down, a website dedicated to board games.

“We’re the foremost board game reviewers pretty much in the world,” says Lisa Pope, the show manager, adding that board games are now a multi-billion dollar industry with fans and players around the world.

And they’re bringing their games and friends to Vancouver starting Sept. 30 for three days of fun with anyone who wants to join in.

“Stage shows, massive social games, special events, over 50 publishers, 1,000+ Title Game Library, and more open gaming than any other show in Canada make these three days you’ll never forget!” promises the show’s website.

The open games floor is particularly friendly, Pope says.

“You can’t stand in the open gaming area without someone asking you to join a game,” she says, explaining that many people come alone to the convention and just play with strangers, getting to know new people and new games at the same time. There’s also a matchmaking system, so people can find games and people at the same time.

There are also large social games with up to 20 people working together in one game.

It’s the fourth time the convention has happened in person; they started in Vancouver in 2017. The last live convention was in October 2019; since then there have been a couple of digital conferences, but Pope is excited to see people playing in person again.

While the convention is based in Vancouver, she notes there are people coming from around the world to play here; for one, the Shut Up and Sit Down team has people coming from the UK. It helps that the city and convention centre are set up in a beautiful and practical place, Pope explains.

“A lot of our attendees are from outside of Vancouver or even outside of Canada;” Pope says. “We want to share how great Vancouver is to everyone.”

When: Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2022

Where: Vancouver Convention Centre

Cost: $199 for 3-day ticket.

Ubisoft to Feature In-Game Climate Change Events for Green Game Jam 2022

Ubisoft to Feature In-Game Climate Change Events for Green Game Jam 2022

As part of Green Game Jam 2022, Ubisoft is set to be one of several studios spearheading efforts to promote the fight against climate change with special in-game events.

Green Game Jam was started in 2020 by Playing for the Planet, a UN-led initiative that strives to “inspire young people to learn and act in support of the environment” by collaborating with the gaming industry.

In addition to the sales of a tree-themed in-game charity item for the Brawlhalla World Tree Initiative and an exclusive Charity Pack within Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, two other Ubisoft titles will soon debut some dramatic “activations” to players.

Riders Republic, Ubisoft’s arcade-y extreme sports sandbox released this past October, will invite players to join forces to prevent Sequoia National Park from burning down in-game unannounced.

Summer Game Fest and Other Events: Everything We Know So Far

Summer Game Fest and Other Events: Everything We Know So Far

The 2022 summer games season looks like another strange one for the gaming world. Without E3, once again, we can now expect a plethora of online shows looking to fill the vacuum the once-massive games industry event leaves behind.

With this in mind, we put together a quick roundup of all the major shows that we know of so far, and they’re coming up sooner than you think. We’re focusing on the events happening in June, but we’ll be expanding this post to include more details on events such as August’s Gamescom 2022, which will be back to an in-person event later this year.

CNET will be actively covering the expansive summer games season, so be sure to check back with us as more details come in. Especially if Nintendo and PlayStation decide to hold live events as well.

Summer Game Fest – Thursday, June 9, 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST

Geoff Keighley’s growing Summer Game Fest event has grown in scope over the last couple of years. The 2021 gathering saw the reveal of numerous games, including the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring.

So expectations are pretty high for the June 9 online stream — so much so that you can even watch it in select IMAX theaters. If you’re going that big, then there must be something exciting going down.

Guerrilla Collective – Saturday, June 11, 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST

The Guerilla Collective is a digital showcase focusing on the latest games from independent developers and other unknown creators. Many of the games on display in previous years are ones that became sleeper hits, such as the detective puzzle game Genesis Noir, dating-sim roguelike Boyfriend Dungeon, and the survival shooter Chernobylite.

If you’re looking to watch a fun, chill show about games and see the creators behind them, tune in for the Guerilla Collective stream.

Wholesome Direct – Saturday June 11, 9:30 AM PST / 12:30 PM EST

While many livestreams feature games with violent content or other mature themes, the Wholesome Direct takes a different approach. It focuses on games that offer a chill, relaxing atmosphere and touches upon titles that are approachable for everyone.

In last year’s stream, games like the Pokemon homage Ooblets and Unpacking were big hits, with the latter becoming one of CNET’s best games of 2021.

Future Games Show – Saturday, June 11, 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST

Hosted by GamesRadar, the Future Games Show has grown steadily over the years become a fairly significant industry showcase. According to the folks running this year’s show, we can expect dozens of new trailers and reveals from publishers like Sega, Konami, Warner Bros. Entertainment, etc.

This is the second Future Games Show event this year, with the next one happening again in August around Gamescom.

Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase – Sunday, June 12, 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST

starfield-protagonist

Though Starfield won’t make a 2022 release, we still might see an appearance at the upcoming Xbox showcase.

Microsoft / Bethesda Game Studios

Along with Summer Game Fest, another stream that could potentially make a massive impact on gaming in 2021 is the official Xbox & Bethesda showcase. Not much is known right now, but many games that seen in a recent trailer, such as Hellblade II and Starfield, could be making appearances.

Unfortunately, Bethesda Softworks’ Starfield and Arkane Studios’ Redfall were both delayed to 2023, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have a showing this year. We’re feeling quite optimistic about the kind of content expected to be shown this year.

PC Gaming Show – Sunday June 12, 12:30 PM PST / 3:30 PM EST

The PC Gaming Show, headed up by PC Gamer, is another powerhouse games event. This event specifically focuses on games that coming to PC, along with some updates about the newest hardware.

In previous years, we got to see new reveals for Dying Light 2, Borderlands 3, and Baldur’s Gate 3. This year is looking to be something of a wild card year, so be sure to tune in if PC gaming is your top priority.

Overwatch Showcase – Thursday, June 16, exact time TBD

Following a successful Overwatch 2 beta, Blizzard will be hosting an online showcase focusing on what’s to come with the sequel to the developer’s popular online shooter. This showcase will cover details on the roadmap for Overwatch 2, beta feedback, and much more. Here’s hoping we can see more of the fun player vs enemy A.I. co-operative mode that made the rounds a few years back.

Red Lot viewing party a ticketed event for Game 7

Article content

If you’re planning to watch Sunday’s night’s Calgary Flames-Dallas Stars game from the Red Lot Community Viewing Party, you’re going to need a ticket.

Article content

Due to what they’re calling “incredibly high demand,” the Flames announced on Saturday that the game-night viewing party will be shifting to a ticketed event effective immediately.

“The decision to move to a ticketed event was made to enhance the fan experience by decreasing the line and wait times for the RED Lot and ensuring the safety of everyone in attendance,” the Flames said in a media release. “Tickets will remain free, but must be secured in advance, and will be available based on a strict capacity limit; those without tickets will not be permitted entrance to RED Lot under any circumstances and are asked not to come to the site.”

Tickets for the Game 7 viewing party will be made available — with a limit of two tickets per person — starting at 9 a.m. Sunday morning from https://www.nhl.com/flames/fans/fireitup. A Flames game ticket will not provide access to the Red Lot.

The Red Lot will open two hours prior to the scheduled 7:30 p.m. puck-drop.

“We understand that demand for RED Lot tickets will very likely outweigh supply, and would like to reiterate our tremendous gratitude for the extraordinary support of the C of Red,” the Flames offered in their statement. “Further updates will be provided through our social media channels.”

The Flames and Stars are tied 3-3 in their best-of-seven first-round NHL playoff series. Winner of Sunday night’s Game 7 advances to the second round.
