Yellow Jackets win four events at Huntington - Cedarville University Athletics

TFRRS RESULTS

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Jaden Johnson hit a CU Top 10 and the Yellow Jackets won four events at the Huntington Invitational.

Johnson was the runner-up in the 100 meter dash in 10.88 seconds which equaled his career-best and ties for sixth on the program’s all-time list.

The 4 x 400 meter relay quartet of Johnson, Joseph Heise, Ben Hulbert, and Brandon Thomas was a winner in 3:32.42.

Gunnar Grass won the 10K in 33:16.73 and Adam Klauck took first in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 10:31.92.

In the field events, Benjamin Tarwater was the triple jump champion with a leap of 41-10.50 (12.76 meters).

Stinger Notes:

  • The meet was non-scoring.
  • The Yellow Jackets had five runner-up performances in all.
  • On the track, Russell Schultz was second in the 5K (16:22.75) and Garrett Reinhard was second in the 110 hurdles (16.41).
  • Runner-up showings in the field events included Stephen Allaway in the javelin (148-8; 45.31m) and Andrew Reinhard in the high jump (6-2.75; 1.90m).
